24 November 2021
A two day event on 24-25th November
This intensive two-day residential workshop is now in its 6th year and is primarily aimed at up-and-coming co-op staff and particularly those who may progress to become future co-op managers or departmental heads.
The workshop is designed to enable participants to build their understanding of the distinctive nature of successful co-op businesses, the issues, and challenges and will provide a forum to share ideas and experiences between participants from a range of co-ops. In addition to providing training in the basics of co-op principles and the co-op business model, the programme will cover the role of managers and the qualities demonstrated by those who are most effective. An important element of the workshop is the contribution from two guest speakers, a current co-op manager and co-op chair who will share their experiences with the group.
We have noted from participant feedback that this workshop works best in a face to face setting. There's just no alternative to sitting down with colleagues and sharing real-time experiences formally in workshop time but also informally over an evening meal and non-programmed time. At this stage, we're asking you to get in touch to note your interest. Save the date in your diary too and we'll confirm by end of September/early October if we are able to go ahead.
